Summer Snow Blankets Parts of Rocky Mountains

The calendar may read summer, but Old Man Winter is still hanging on in parts of the Rocky Mountains. Snow fell in many areas over the weekend, even along Interstate 80 near Laramie, Wyoming. Up to 1.5 inches of snow was reported near the town of Buford, WY, located in Laramie County, by Sunday morning. In the highest elevations, snow caused numerous road closures, including through Montana’s Glacier National Park, Beartooth Highway through Red Lodge, Montana, and Trail Ridge Road through Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park.
