Multiple Snowstorms Blanket New Mexico

While much of the eastern United States is enjoying mild weather, multiple snowstorms have impacted much of New Mexico. Last Friday, a system prompted blizzard warnings for the city of Albuquerque, where 3.0” of snow fell. Up to 18” snow was reported in the mountains outside of Albuquerque. Another storm is bringing snow to the region as the calendar flips to 2019. By the time the storm winds down early Wednesday, 4 to 8 more inches of snow are expected in and around Albuquerque. Amounts will be even greater in the mountains, with up to 2 feet possible in elevations above 10,000 feet.

Fortunately for the snowbound region, the weather pattern looks to be quieter for the next several days once today’s system passes
